Cambodia's Foreign Exchange Reserves Remain High

As of the first half of 2024, Cambodia's national foreign exchange reserves reached $20 billion, a slight decrease from the beginning of the year, but still maintaining a relatively high level. Despite the impact of reduced government deposits and changes in the international financial market, the foreign exchange reserves are sufficient to cover 7 months' worth of imports. This is a very high level compared to other developing countries. The National Bank of Cambodia stated that it will continue to prudently manage its reserve investments to ensure asset safety. This indicates that Cambodia's economic fundamentals remain stable, laying a solid fiscal foundation for future development. This is undoubtedly an encouraging piece of good news.
