From Road Upgrades to Regional Growth, Cambodia Builds a New Logistics Corridor.
Cambodia is accelerating infrastructure and logistics upgrades to strengthen regional connectivity and enhance economic competitiveness. A key project, the Asian Highway 21 (AH21), will improve over 390 kilometers of road in phases, linking Cambodia with Vietnam and the northeastern economic corridor. This is expected to significantly boost cross-border trade and transport efficiency while reducing logistics costs. The government is also encouraging private investment in logistics, agro-processing, transport, and tourism to expand market access and create employment opportunities. The project is expected to benefit more than 1.6 million people and support upgrades in cold-chain logistics and agricultural exports. With backing from international institutions such as the World Bank, Cambodia is steadily strengthening its transport and supply chain infrastructure, creating a more efficient and growth-oriented environment for regional trade and long-term investment.
