Techo International Airport (the new Phnom Penh International Airport) has recently received high praise from diplomatic envoys from multiple countries, with visitors expressing surprise at its grand scale and modern facilities. Over 90% of the airport's staff are local Cambodians, and the project adheres to a "zero workplace injury" goal, with no major safety incidents to date. A cultural display area is planned within the airport to promote Cambodian culture. As a global 4F-level airport, Techo International Airport is set to open in September 2025, replacing the existing Phnom Penh International Airport and helping Cambodia become a regional aviation hub, revitalizing the tourism industry.
