The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is crucial for global trade, comprising 15 Asia-Pacific countries with a total population of 2.3 billion and strong purchasing power. With the implementation of RCEP, Cambodia has gained access to this vast market, significantly boosting its exports and trade. The government is actively promoting market diversification to reduce reliance on a single market. By 2024, Cambodia's exports to RCEP member countries reached $9.06 billion, growing by 12.8%. Since RCEP came into effect in 2022, it has eliminated 90% of tariffs, providing convenience for foreign investors and becoming a stabilizing force for economic integration, attracting more foreign investment.
