The Rapid Growth of Factories and Enterprises in Cambodia

According to statistics, as of June 2024, Cambodia has a total of 44,417 factories and enterprises, employing 1.79 million workers. The textile and garment industries have 1,538 enterprises, employing 910,000 people and generating an annual salary of $2.97 billion; the non-garment industries have 42,000 enterprises, employing 870,000 people and generating an annual salary of $2.6 billion. Over the past year, 3,130 new enterprises were added, including 82 in the garment industry, creating 77,000 new jobs. Cambodian factories and enterprises are exhibiting a rapid expansion trend, creating favorable opportunities for local economic development and employment.
