Cambodia's Booming Trade

In January 2025, Cambodia's international trade reached $5.05 billion, showing significant growth. Exports amounted to $2.3 billion, an increase of 17.3%, while imports totaled $2.75 billion, rising by 31.6%. China remains the largest trading partner, with total trade reaching $1.5 billion; despite a decline in exports, imports have seen substantial growth. The United States is the second-largest trading partner, with a surplus of $868 million. Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan also play important roles in trade, especially with Japan's trade increasing by 41.1%. These figures highlight Cambodia's rapid development in international trade, showcasing its economic vitality and market potential. As exports and imports grow significantly, Cambodia not only strengthens its position in global trade but also attracts more foreign investment and business opportunities. Furthermore, the deepening relationships with key trading partners demonstrate Cambodia's efforts to establish a stable trade network and diversify its economy, laying a solid foundation for future sustainable development.
