Prime Minister Hun Manet's visit to China ends with fruitful results

At the invitation of Premier Li Qiang, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet paid an official visit to China from 14 to 16 September. This is the first official visit of Hun Manet during his term of office, less than a month after he took office as prime minister.
On the morning of 15 September, President Xi Jinping met with Hun Manet at the Great Hall of the People. Xi pointed out that no matter how the international and regional situation changes, China has always been Cambodia's most trustworthy friend and firmest reliance. China is willing to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Cambodia to jointly uphold international justice and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the vast number of developing countries.
Hong Manet said that taking China as the first country to be officially visited is to reflect that the new Cambodian government will continue to firmly pursue the policy of friendship with China and further develop the hardcore friendship between Cambodia and China. He also said Cambodia is willing to work closely with China in regional and international affairs to push Cambodia-China relations to new heights.
This visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia, and the "hardcore" friendship between China and Cambodia has been built on the mutual trust of successive leaders, and on the basis of friendship and cooperation between the two countries; Hong Manet's first visit to China after assuming the office of Prime Minister releases the Cambodian side's sincerity in the continuation and consolidation of its relations with China, and shows its determination to promote the China-Cambodia community of destiny in the new era together with the Chinese government.
