PM gifts flower tree for"China-Cambodia Friendship Garden
To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations, Prime Minister Hun Sen has gifted a Pkha Angkea Bos tree (Millingtonia hortensis) to the Chinese Embassy to be planted in the “China-Cambodia Friendship Garden”
Minister of Agriculture Dith Tina handed over the tree to Ambassador Wang Wentian on behalf of Prime Minister Hun Sen.
In his letter, Prime Minister Hun Sen stated, "As this tree grows, it will serve as a reminder of Cambodia's continuing policy towards China. Our sincere friendship and unwavering policy, built up over generations, will carry forward and bring greatness and glory to the people of both countries by bringing harmony, stability and prosperity to their lives."
The Pkha Angkea Bos tree is a large tree that can reach 18 to 25 meters in height and is mainly characterized by its long lifespan, bright shade, and white fragrant flowers. It resembles the long-term relationship and cooperation of the Cambodia-China comprehensive strategic partnership and moreover symbolizes that the hardcore friendship between Cambodia and China is constantly renewing its vitality.
Cambodia-China friendship has a long history, and the fruitful results of BRICS cooperation, FTA, and RCEP have greatly benefited the people of the two countries, and the "iron-clad" friendship has taken root in both countries.
