Cambodia's Economic Diplomacy - Growth and Goals

Over the past year, Cambodia's foreign policy has significantly developed, particularly in economic diplomacy. Reports indicate that high-level delegations visited 16 countries across five continents and participated in various foreign affairs activities. In the first half of 2024, Cambodia secured 190 new investment projects worth over $3.2 billion, demonstrating strong economic growth potential.
The government's goal is to achieve upper-middle-income status by 2030 and high-income status by 2050. To this end, attracting foreign investment, especially in the textile and garment sectors, is a priority. Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises and the retail sector is also crucial, as these industries help improve livelihoods and promote economic growth.
