The Cambodian government will launch the "2025-2028 Competitiveness Enhancement, Economic Diversification, and Resilience Strengthening Plan," aimed at enhancing economic resilience and diversification. The plan will focus on three major areas: short- to medium-term economic support, enhancing corporate competitiveness, and preparing for the transition out of "Least Developed Country" status by 2029. Despite a gradual economic recovery, with a projected growth of about 6% in 2024, the government remains proactive in addressing trade protectionism and supply chain challenges to promote national development. The government emphasizes the need to accelerate structural adjustments, promote infrastructure reform, and cultivate high-value-added industries to attract foreign investment. Improvements in the business environment and the provision of tax incentives will facilitate foreign capital inflow, laying the groundwork for long-term growth.
