Cambodia's Foreign Trade Maintains Strong Growth

According to the latest data, in the first 5 months of 2024, Cambodia's export value exceeded $10 billion, up 10.88% year-on-year. Imports reached $11 billion, up 13.6%.
Cambodian exports were mainly to the US, Vietnam, and China, focused on garments, fruits/nuts, and machinery. Imports were primarily machinery, equipment, and minerals.
The $1 billion trade surplus has strongly supported Cambodia's economic development. Industry experts believe Cambodia's abundant labor and improving industrial chain give it competitive advantages in labor-intensive sectors, with huge export potential. As infrastructure and trade facilitation advance, Cambodia's foreign trade is expected to maintain rapid growth.
