Cambodia to Invest $200 Million in Border Road Development

The Cambodian government intends to invest $200 million over the next 10 years to build border roads. Since 1994, 1,300 kilometers have been completed, with another 1,300 kilometers still needed. In July, a budget was approved to finish the remaining roads within the decade.
Despite Cambodia's withdrawal from cooperation in the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle, the government will enhance collaboration with neighboring countries to expedite infrastructure projects. The newly established Border Infrastructure Development Fund has raised over $21 million from nearly 700,000 citizens.
These funds will be dedicated to border road construction, improving transportation, promoting trade, and driving local economic growth.
