Techo International Airport - A New Era for Cambodian Aviation

Techo International Airport, located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has recently been praised by CNN as one of the 11 architectural projects that will shape the world in 2025. This new airport will replace the old international airport, increasing its annual passenger capacity from 13 million to 30 million, aiming to promote the development of the tourism industry and become a regional aviation hub. The terminal is situated approximately 19 kilometers south of the city center and will become one of the largest airports in Southeast Asia, significantly enhancing Cambodia's air transport capacity, with an expected opening in July 2025. Additionally, the airport plans to install an on-site solar power plant, making it one of the most environmentally friendly airports in the world. In terms of design, the main roof is inspired by traditional Cambodian styles, supported by wooden "trees," and the interior is filled with tropical plants, creating a comfortable travel atmosphere. The construction of the airport will be divided into three phases, showcasing Cambodia's ambition in infrastructure development
