Cambodia's Long-Term Strategy for National Competitiveness

The Cambodian government has resumed the drafting of the "Cambodia 2050 Vision Report," aimed at guiding future development directions. The drafting team has invited the World Bank to provide technical support. The report's preparation had been delayed since 2018 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is now reanalyzing the current socio-economic situation. This report is crucial for national development, as it aims not only to transform Cambodia into a high-income country but also to formulate other important plans to promote infrastructure development and human capital enhancement. The World Bank has committed to assisting in data collection and sharing experiences, forecasting a 5.3% economic growth rate for Cambodia in 2025. This will create favorable opportunities for attracting foreign investment and promoting employment, further improving the living standards of the population.
